A Good night of fights has come out of a card i didnt expect much from and figured the main event wouldve been just about, ....ok..
For Ruan Potts, being age 36 its an uphill battle to get into the 10-15 range. If he is not cut from UFC, he needs to get a solid win next time out, even with a nobody!!
Anthony Hamilton, Looks great but now being 1-1 in UFC, there are still questions about him, but his performance against Potts was a great one!! Might be the first ever heavy wt. finish due to hand strikes to the body in UFC history!! Hamilton wants Brendan Schaub next, i say give it to him!!!
Next for Derek Brunson.....Brunson had a good wrestling style win over Lorenz Larkin. Larkin is a great striker, but also has had a rough time thus far in UFC. So, that being said, Brunson needs a solid win over the likes of ex.....Stanislov Nedkov, or a Thiago Santos, Trevor Smith, just a few i think would make good match ups for an improved Brunson, hoping he gets back to the drawing board does just that, which i expect he will!
Lorenz Larkin, ive always liked his style and his speed, but Larkin has had a horrible run in his UFC career and may be at the end of the road with 3 back to back losses. But if he gets another chance, its do or die! he needs an impressive win! Maybe a match up with Andrew Craig, if he is still in UFC, or Daniel Sarafian, Bubba Bush
Bethe Correia, Looking really impressive with 3 wins in 3 UFC fights!!
I say, give her Lauren Murphy, or Sara McMann, or a Jessica Eye any of those for a title shot, or 2 of them in line for a title shot!
Danny Castillo, at age 35 doesnt pose a huge threat to him at this point, but a match up with Al Iaguinta, Mitch Clarke, or maybe another fight with Anthony Njokuani
Tony Ferguson, looking great only having 3 losses, only recent loss to Michael Johnson, who appears to be unstoppable right now! Give Tony a Daron Cruickshank, Jorge Masvidal or an Edson Barboza ! any of those would make for a great fight!!
Joe Soto, Putting himself on the map after losing to TJ Dillashaw, i would still let Joe prove himself with a few guy in the lower top 10 or down further, so there isnt so much pressure into the UFC!! Like his first fight!!
Give Joe a match up with Hugo Viana or Anthony Birchak.
TJ Dillashaw, another great showing in his first title defense against someone he wasnt prepared for, but did know and train with in the past. Next for TJ is probably Raphael Assuncao, Michael McDonald after a win, or Johnny Eduardo
Or match up Johnny Eduardo and Raphael Assuncao for the title shot! that would be sweet!!!
