Cung Le said he would only fight again if he could fight in the UFC. Well guess what? Cung Le is going to fight in the UFC against none other than Vitor Belfort! Or at least that’s what Vitor’s official website is saying.
After Belfort’s last explosive win in UFC 133 against Yoshihiro Akiyama, UFC is quickly putting him back in the ring and this time against martial arts master Cung Le for UFC 139 on November 19th in San Jose, California.
It’s been over a year since Cung Le stepped in the cage when he avenged his lone loss to Scott Smith. Considering this is by far the toughest test Le has ever had, his layoff and how sharp Belfort looked against Akiyama, I definitely wouldn’t bet on Le to win it, but hopefully we get at least get to see fireworks before it ends.
Update: The UFC still hasn’t announced it, but Cung Le has confirmed the fight.
