Heavy Weight Division as a whole..........

Frank Mir set to fight Alistair Overeem at UFC 167, which is UFC's 20th Anniversary card! And shaping up to be pretty awesome!!
Frank needs to up his striking and stop waiting for his opponent to dictate the fight, if Mir's career is going to continue at a low top 10-15 range spot, he needs to get moving seriously early in each fight!!!
This fight between Overeem and Mir is BIG, because they each need the win seriously!!
My overall look at this fight is that Mir will get over wealmed early and get KO'd!
Frank needs to take overeem down and implement his ground submission game if he plans to stay in the top 15-20. And i dont think his striking is yet that good to roll with an Alistair Overeem!

Alexander Volkov appears to be a force to be reckoned with in Bellator and could find himself in the eyes of a larger promotion if he continues this streak! I see him entering a UFC in the future, if all goes well, and competing with guys like Mir or Antonio Silva early on. Hopefully, as fight fans we can see that soon!

Daniel Cormier has been a great addition to the UFC after beating Josh Barnett and showing Mir a tough battle and winning convincingly!!
But, today, i just dont understand Daniel calling out of Roy Nelson!! What is there to prove? based on his last 5 fights and competition, he ahead of Nelson, in my book! What i believe he is doing is padding his record until he goes down to light heavy weight to face Jon Jones. And Roy bought it hook, line and sinker!!!!! SAD!

Fabricio Werdum, who is 4-1 in his last 5 fights, appears to be on a new level!!! Guys like Overeem, Mir and Big Nog(already losing to Werdum) would get smashed by Fabricio, in my opinion. Fabricio is with out a fight scheduled and hopefully will have something in the books soon! This guy needs to be seen again soon, i think with the way he has looked in his last couple fights, he will be in the top 3 and ready for a title shot in no time!

Mark Hunt, its really hard to say with Mark, he had a great shot with fighting Jr dos Santos, but came up really short, there needs to be a new game plan implemented in Hunt's world, hopefully he can show us some wrestling skills in his next battle. or we may see a short lived career for Hunt at the top 5 level!
Hunt should pull out a KO win over his next opponent, BigFoot Silva....Silva has been impressive, but falls short to great strikers.

Travis Browne has learned a lot since his last few outtings and shows a lot of promise, i would kinda like to see a Browne vs Werdum match up! It would be a sweet test for both fighters and could put Browne on the map yet again after beating Overeem, but not hurt Werdum so much taking a loss after the impressive run he has been on!

Matt Mitrione, has been a bit back and forth, while taking on some big names, Roy Nelson, Cheick Kongo.....He willing to get in there with anyone, and UFC loves that!!! If he is able to beat Schaub, i would like to see Mir vs Mitrione, or Mitrione vs Big Nog.

Shawn Jordan and Gabriel Gonzaga are set to fight at UFC 166 in October, This is a big fight for both fighters!!! I have these 2 neck and neck in my listing of Top 20 Heavy Weights of MMA!
This fight will catapult the winner into a great spot to get that much closer to the top 10!
October 19th will be a fun night for Heavy Weight fans!
