If you haven’t heard, UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones will be on The Tonight Show with Jay Lenotonight. Since Jones is the first UFC fighter to appear on the show for reasons directly related to the sport (Rampage Jackson was on The Tonight Show last year, but only because of The A-Team), some people are seeing this as major breakthrough into the mainstream market. I don’t know if I buy that. I just think Jones is a charismatic guy that happens to have an incredible story to tell (winning the UFC championship and stopping a criminal in a 12-hour period), but we’ll take it.
The show airs at 11:35pm ET/10:35pm CT on NBC.
On a related note, Brock Lesnar will be on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Monday to promote TUF 13.
